WORK SMARTER NOT HARDER⁣!⁣ Have you heard of that saying? ⁣⁣ It’s been almost a year since I started working for myself, and in that time I’ve learnt so much about productivity and organisation. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Everyone loves to complain there aren’t enough hours in the day…including me! But the truth is, there are enough hours. It’s what we do in those hours that’s important!⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Here are a few tips on how to work smarter:⁣⁣ • Put your phone away! I’m writing this at the top because ever since I started implementing this throughout the day I noticed a shift in my productivity! Phones are the biggest distraction. ⁣⁣ • Plan your day in advance. My calendar has become my best friend. The evening before, I like to write down my to-do list, then put each task into my calendar and make sure I stick to it throughout the day. This also places a time limit on each task so I don’t get distracted or overrun. ⁣⁣ • Don’t multitask! This links in with my previous tip, and is something I have struggled with in the past. I would be working my way through emails one minute and then find myself writing a blog post the next and editing a photo at the same time. It simply doesn’t work and slows everything down. I now focus on one task at a time and place a time limit on each one.⁣⁣ • Tidy workspace, tidy mind! This may sound silly, but I’m far more productivity if I have a tidy, clean workspace to sit in front of each morning. Everything is where I need it to be, so it’s one less thing I have to stress about. ⁣⁣ I have so many more tips so I’ll put them all in a blog post this week!⁣⁣ Let me know if you have any tips yourself, and I’ll add them to the post!
